Introduction
In Nepal, the freelance economy is rapidly expanding as more professionals in IT, design, content creation, and digital marketing seek flexible, skill-based opportunities. However, existing global platforms such as Upwork and Fiverr often fail to meet the localized needs of Nepali users, creating barriers like high service fees, currency conversion issues, and limited support for NPR-based payments. To address these challenges, Kam Paunu Hos has been developed as a localized freelance marketplace tailored specifically for Nepal.
This platform provides a secure and efficient environment where clients can post jobs and freelancers can bid based on their skills and interests. It integrates role-based access for clients, freelancers, and administrators, real-time communication through messaging, and NPR-based payment tracking via eSewa. A key innovation of the system is the Hybrid Skill-Based Job Recommendation Algorithm (HSBJRA), which intelligently matches freelancers with jobs by analyzing skills, categories, and keyword similarities. Built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, the project ensures responsive design, reliable backend processing, and structured database management.
By offering a culturally relevant and locally integrated solution, Kam Paunu Hos aims to empower Nepali freelancers, promote digital employment, and contribute to the growth of Nepal’s gig economy.
